Norwegian Prima cabins offer options of all types, from cozy solo interiors to large family suites. All cabins are bigger than you're likely to see on other Norwegian ships, and we were impressed with the space of our balcony cabin, which gave us room for working (and even yoga!). Norwegian has had promenades on earlier ships that have offered outdoor restaurant seating and additional features. The line has been a pioneer among big-ship lines in taking promenades to a new level by making them wider and adding venues to draw passengers out onto them.

We were ready and to the Haven Restaurant just after 9 AM for breakfast. Here, we enjoyed another delicious meal in this restaurant. I went with the spinach dip and the chicken salad sandwich for lunch today.

A couple of days before the cruise ended, I had to choose a disembarkation time and collect appropriate luggage tags from the guest services area. The Free at Sea package included 300 minutes of Wi-Fi for this entire 12-night cruise, meaning I had to remember to log off to keep from using minutes. My father quickly learned logging off was not the same as just turning off the Wi-Fi on his device after a bunch of his allotted minutes went away fairly quickly when he wasn’t doing anything. The upper decks had lots of mostly daytime entertainment options, especially deck 18. Now, for the specialty dining options, the Prima has eight where the food and presentation are elevated.
Checking our app, we noticed that the Haven concierge still had not booked our entertainment reservations. We are both type A personalities, so leaving this task up to someone else made us feel uneasy. You can mix and match what you want from any of the venues and order them to your table with a few taps on the tablet that you'll find at every table. It's not just the public areas of Norwegian Prima that are more stylish — its cabins are, too. By that measure, Norwegian Prima is downright small and uncrowded for a big ship with a lot to offer (see more on that below). Given this was the inaugural cruise with media and travel partners, we do suspect that all of your favorite trivia, game shows, and other organized activities will still occur on revenue sailings. Over the eight days onboard the new Norwegian Prima cruise ship, there were four ports of call.
